The central theme of my work is the vulnerability of nature and, ultimately, of human beings.
I don't want to make a political statement, but to touch people with my art. I want to encourage them to think about what concerns us all: the transience of what surrounds us.
My photographic still lifes are characterised by asymmetry, simplicity, rigour, naturalness, mystery, freedom and tranquillity. They are created on the basis of the cosmic space of darkness. My fascination with creation allows me to see wonderful things, even the smallest, and to develop a great appreciation for them.
