NEW REPRESENTATIONS
ALESSANDRO PARENTE
Ardotype N. 1930, 2023
We are proud to announce a new addition to the gallery's group of artists: Alessandro Parente. His first solo exhibition at our gallery will take place in October and November 2026.
Alessandro Parente is an italian artist who combines his work as a photojournalist - with publications in various national and international media - with that of an artist, having undertaken several artistic and curatorial residencies in France, Belgium and Luxembourg.
He is specialised in covering humanitarian emergencies, with a particular focus on migration, armed conflicts and climate change.
His photography serves minorities, forgotten landscapes, people in need, and unconventional processes, with the aim of revealing the essence of his subjects through historical techniques that are more refined, precise, and sincere.Alessandro Parente is specialised in analogue photography, primarily in alternative photographic techniques such as wet collodion. In 2022, he further developed the collodion process to produce photographs on slate rather than glass, giving rise to the tecnique of "Ardotype".
Alessandro Parente: "Photography has given me an excuse to get to know people and places, and a way to portray them as I have experienced them".

Clepsydrae #58, 2022
JUAN COUDERWe are delighted to announce the addition of Spanish artist Juan Couder (1998) to the group of artists represented by the gallery.
He will be the protagonist of the next edition of the Lab 1930 YOUNG project: born in 2025 to broaden our view of contemporaneity, it is an annual opportunity given to promising young artists to engage with the art market. This year, the Lab 1930 YOUNG exhibition will take place at the turn of 2026 and 2027.
Based in Paris after graduating from the Master of Arts in Photography at Aalto University in 2023, Juan Couder has presented his work internationally.
His experimental practice moves around notions of authorship, temporality and materiality in the field of expanded photography. Couder explores photography as a body vulnerable to time, presenting objects that transform according to the light conditions of their environment.
Juan Couder: "I am interested in photography as a process rather than a final image. As a latent being instead of a crystallised moment. This has led me down a path of research where the photographic process becomes the central axis of the work".
