We are proud to announce a new addition to the gallery's group of artists: Alessandro Parente. His first solo exhibition at our gallery will take place in October and November 2026.
Alessandro Parente is an italian artist who combines his work as a photojournalist - with publications in various national and international media - with that of an artist, having undertaken several artistic and curatorial residencies in France, Belgium and Luxembourg.
He is specialised in covering humanitarian emergencies, with a particular focus on migration, armed conflicts and climate change.
His photography serves minorities, forgotten landscapes, people in need, and unconventional processes, with the aim of revealing the essence of his subjects through historical techniques that are more refined, precise, and sincere.
Alessandro Parente is specialised in analogue photography, primarily in alternative photographic techniques such as wet collodion. In 2022, he further developed the collodion process to produce photographs on slate rather than glass, giving rise to the tecnique of "Ardotype".
